Kapil Sharma’s Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 Re-Release CANCELLED Due To Screen Availability- Report

The comedy film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 was scheduled for a re-release on Friday, January 9. Many movie enthusiasts, who hadn’t had a chance to see it earlier, were excited to finally catch Kapil Sharma’s film on the big screen this time. However, fans will be disappointed as the re-release has been cancelled at the last minute.

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 Re-Release CANCELLED?

According to a source who spoke to Bollywood Hungama, “Star Studio18, the studio partner and distributor of Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, had initially promised a release across 500 screens for this second run. But they were only able to secure around 200-250 screens. Additionally, most of the shows were scheduled at odd times. The producers, Venus, were dissatisfied with such limited and irregular screening. As a result, late Thursday evening, January 8, a decision was made to cancel the re-release altogether.”

The source further explained, “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 originally opened on December 12 but was pulled from theatres as bigger films like Dhurandhar and Avatar: Fire and Ash dominated the screens. Venus felt their film wasn’t getting enough visibility and aimed to re-release it at a better time. However, even as other holdover releases slowed down, they still weren’t able to secure the screens they demanded. This led to the decision to cancel the re-release.”

An industry expert commented, “It remains to be seen whether Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 will be re-released at a later date. The film has genuinely been loved by audiences and stands out as one of the few recent comedies that truly made viewers laugh in theatres. Hopefully, a proper opportunity will come for it to get the recognition it deserves.”
