After Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone, now Katrina Kaif wants to don the producer’s hat

Katrina Kaif is ruling the hearts of the audience with her unmatchable dance skills and drop dead gorgeous looks. In the last few years, Kat has worked tremendously on her acting skills and now has been astonishing the viewers with her terrific performances. With her last two films ‘Bharat’ and ‘Zero’, Kat has proved that there’s more to her than just good looks.

Interestingly Kat has expressed her desire to do more women-centric films. In fact, she has even opened up about producing films. Yes, very soon the actress will try her hands at film production. Recently we saw Deepika Padukone making her debut as a producer with her upcoming film ‘Chhapaak’. Anushka Sharma too owns a production house ‘Clean Slate Films’ under which she has made films like ‘NH10’, ‘Phillauri’ and ‘Pari’.

Talking about the kind of subjects she is dying to experiment with, Kat told Mumbai Mirror, “I hear almost every script that comes to me and besides action, I also want to experiment with other genres like a psychological thriller and a comedy. But you can only select from what is offered to you.”

Opening up about the kind of films her banner might produce, the ‘Bharat’ actress told the tabloid, “The films under my banner may be smaller and little off-beat but they will be a journey we can go on together.” Kat even revealed that she will star in her home productions.

Well, this seems to be a good move by our Bollywood actresses( of trying their hands at production) as that would mean they no longer have to wait for others to offer the kind of films they have always wanted to star in.

On the work front, Katrina will be next seen opposite Akshay Kumar in Rohit Shetty directorial ‘Sooryavanshi’. She also has the third part of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ in her kitty.
