Kay Kay Menon

B-Town’s renowned actor Kay Kay Menon will next be seen in Navneet Bahl’s ‘San’ 75′, a thriller based on the backdrop of the emergency period on 1975; the same year when mobile phones were invented. During an interaction with press, Menon was asked how he perceives the issue of censorship of films. What he answered was firm and sensible!

“People in India vote and choose their own Government. When they can do that, I think they can as well choose the films that they want or they don’t want to watch. No Censorship is required there,” Menon said.

“I don’t understand the logic behind censorship and don’t believe in it either,” he added.

Recently, the much-touted film ‘Udta Punjab’ which extensively deals with the issue of drug abuse in India has been grounded by the Censor Board and they have demanded that all references of ‘Punjab’ be dropped from the film and its title. This has given birth to wide outrage and Menon’s remarks carry a lot of significance right now.

‘San 75’ also stars Kriti Kulhari and is slated to release on June 24.
