‘King’ Shah Rukh Khan, ‘Prince Of Bengal’ Sourav Ganguly Share A Warm Hug At KKR VS PBKS IPL 2026 Match- Watch

On Monday, Shah Rukh Khan made a special appearance at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens to support his team. He was accompanied by his daughter, Suhana Khan, for the IPL 2026 match against Punjab Kings. However, rain interrupted the game, forcing the match to be called off due to the wet outfield. Shah Rukh Khan was seen hugging Sourav Ganguly in a video shared by the criciket team’s official Instagram.

Later, the official Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) accounts of Kolkata Knight Riders shared a heartfelt video capturing Shah Rukh’s meeting with former India captain Sourav Ganguly off the field. The clip quickly went viral, with fans flooding social media with love. The caption read, “When the KING met the PRINCE OF BENGAL.”

In the video, Shah Rukh is seen engaging with Sourav, followed by a warm hug between the two. Also present was Harshit Rana, who is currently out of the tournament due to injury, along with Shah Rukh’s manager, Pooja Dadlani.

Shah Rukh will next appear in King, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film features Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Raghav Juyal, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Saurabh Shukla. Reports also suggest that Anil Kapoor and Rani Mukerji are part of the cast. The action-packed entertainer is scheduled to hit theatres on December 24.

Additionally, Shah Rukh is set to star alongside Tamil superstar Rajinikanth in Nelson Dilipkumar’s Jailer 2, marking their first collaboration.

Sourav Ganguly’s biopic will be helmed by Rajkummar Rao. The actor has begun shooting for the film. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, the film chronicles the inspiring journey of Sourav Ganguly, the legendary Indian cricketer known as the Bengal Tiger and the God of the Off Side.
