Shah Rukh Khan’s King Locks Rs 250 Cr Deal?

According to a recent report by Bollywood Hungama, Pen Marudhar has acquired the all-India theatrical distribution rights for King for an impressive Rs 250 crores. This deal is among the biggest of the year. It is hardly surprising given Shah Rukh Khan’s massive box office appeal. A trade source revealed, “Pen Marudhar has secured the theatrical rights for King for Rs 250 crores. The distributor has a longstanding relationship with Shah Rukh Khan’s banner, having previously released films like Jawan, Dunki, Zero, Badla, Ittefaq, and more.”

King will face stiff competition at the box office. It releases alongside major Hollywood releases such as Avengers: Doomsday, Dune 3, and Jumanji during the busy festive season. “Shah Rukh Khan was seeking a strong distribution partner to handle the competitive release window, and he plans a wide theatrical release across the country in December,” added the source.

The film is directed by Siddharth Anand, who previously collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan on the blockbuster Pathaan.
