Kriti Sanon, not Katrina Kaif to be Sushant Singh Rajput’s half girlfriend

Model turned actress Kriti Sanon is currently on cloud 9, as she bagged an opportunity to share screen space with Bollywood’s biggest superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in ‘Dilwale.’ Indeed, it’s a big deal for a one film old actress, to feature in a film which is associated with the biggest stars and banners of the Industry. Adding up to the star quotient she has been paired up with B-town’s current heartthrob Varun Dhawan in ‘Dilwale.’ No wonder, this film is being considered a major boost to her career.

Well, the effects are already visible. Even before her big release, Kriti seems to have become directors’ favorite with a number of films coming her way. Apart from ‘Dilwale,’ the tall lady has a film named ‘Farzi’ alongside Arjun Kapoor to work on and now the latest update tells us that there’s one more film that’s fallen into her kitty.

Kriti has now replaced Katrina Kaif in Mohit Suri’s next film ‘Half Girlfriend’ which is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s famous novel with the same title. Director Mohit Suri chose Kriti to star opposite Sushant Singh Rajput as she is young, vibrant, beautiful and most of all confident. She will shine in this role, says the director. While the look tests for the film were being conducted, director realized that Katrina Kaif looked a bit older to Sushant Singh Rajput and probably that is why chose to cast a younger actress opposite Sushant, reveals a source. Ouch, now that hurts!

Well, for Kriti it’s surely a time to celebrate, whereas Katrina, better luck next time!
