After the release of Karan Johar’s ‘Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives’ trailer, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar called out Karan on Twitter saying that it is ‘ethically and morally wrong to tweak’ the title of his film ‘Bollywood Wives’ to ‘Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives’.

Karan Johar seemed to have not responded to Madhur’s request. So, today again, Bhandarkar tweeted sharing the notices he had sent to Dharma Productions regarding the title. In the tweet, he mentioned that Karan Johar’s production company has not yet responded to the notices. “Notices send to @DharmaMovies since 19th Nov, 2 from (IMPPA) ,1 (IFTDA)& 2 Notices of (FWICE )all r Official Bodies of the Film Industry, on misusing & tweaking of my Film Title #BollywoodWives…there is NO official response yet to any of the above Associations from Dharma(sic)”, he tweeted.

Earlier, Madhur shared that Film Guild of India has not registered the said title in favour of Dharma Productions. He tweeted, “When ‘IMPPA’ asked ‘Film Guild of India’ whether @DharmaMovies was given the Title #BollywoodWives where Dharma is a Member. The GUILD replied that they had outrightly rejected the same. That shows Dharma have blatantly tweeked and misused our Title #BollywoodWives.”.

For the unversed, in 2016, Madhur Bhandarkar had announced that he will be making a film based on the wives of Bollywood stars. The filmmaker had also registered the title ‘Bollywood Wives’.
