Evelien Holsken, the co-founder of the NGO, has been denied a Visa repeatedly. So Mallika took it upon herself to lend her support. Mallika says, “I feel very strongly about this issue and felt the urge to seek help in order to get support from the government and be granted Visa allowance to the co-founder who has been tirelessly working for the benefit of Indian children and women. Sushma Swaraj ji has always addressed issues such as these and I am hoping to seek a positive response from her.”

The actress recently featured in a documentary on child trafficking called as ‘India’s Achilles Heel’, which has been made by the volunteers of the ‘Free A Girl Movement’.
