The National Commission For Women’s(NCW) Chairman Rekha Sharma has issued a notice to filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, Mouni Roy, Esha Gupta, Urvashi Rautela, Rannvijay Singha and Prince Narula for allegedly promoting a firm accused of exploiting girls. A fresh notice has been issued to these celebs for recording witness statements on a complaint filed by social activist Yogita Bhayana.

NCW chairman Rekha Sharma took to her Twitter handle and wrote, “Issued a notice to @MaheshNBhatt@UrvashiRautela @eshagupta2811@rannvijaysingha @Roymouni @princenarula88 for recording of witness statements on a complaint received from Ms @yogitabhayana, Founder @pariforindia, alleging sexual and mental assault on several”

She further tweeted, “girls by Promoter of IMG Ventures, Mr Sunny Verma and his accomplice. Despite directing to appear before the Commission and intimating the same through all possible modes of communication, these people have neither bothered to respond nor attended the scheduled meeting.”

“NCW has taken serious note of their non-appearance. The meeting has been adjourned to next date, ie, on August 18 at 11.30 AM. You will be sent formal notices again and non-appearance will be followed by action as per our procedures, ” wrote Rekha in a series of tweets.

On July 15, Yogita Bhayana had shared a video on her Twitter handle claiming that she has been approached by a few girls who have accused Sunny Verma of exploitation. She even accused that several Bollywood celebs are supporting Verma.

According to a report by Times Now, as per Yogita’s complaint letter to NCW, Sunny invites girls on the pretext of organising Miss Asia contest stating that the contest will launch them as models. His team later asks the participants to submit their nude pics for better rankings and later those pics are used to blackmail them.

Reportedly, Sunny has been previously arrested for charges of sexual assault.
