Renowned art director Nitin Chandrakant Desai, known for his remarkable work in films like Devdas, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, and Jodha Akbar. He tragically bid farewell to the world as he died by suicide. His lifeless body was discovered at his ND Studio in Khalapur near Karjat, just days before his 58th birthday on August 9. The news has left the entire Bollywood film fraternity in shock. Celebrities like Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Parineeti Chopra, and others have taken to their social media to offer condolences.

Sanjay Dutt took to his Twitter account to offer his heartfelt condolences. Desai was also behind some iconic sets of Sanjay Dutt’s Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006).

Veteran actress Hema Malini also shared that she was a part of many of his projects.

Remembering his work, Parineeti Chopra was heartbroken hearing the news.

Akshay Kumar, who was about to release the trailer of his movie upcoming movie OMG 2 on Wednesday, postponed it to pay respects.

Actor Abhishek Bachchan called him a ‘fine artist’ as he offered condolences to the art director.

Riteish Deshmukh revealed the art director’s personality as soft-spoken and humble.

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar and Nitin Desai had worked on some notable movies together like Traffic Signal, Fashion, Jail and Indu Sarkar. He shared happy photos with the art director from their time spent on sets.

Director Vivek Agnihotri shared the late art director’s photo and shared that he was the one who guided him.

Nitin Desai’s demise leaves a void in the film industry. His exceptional talent and contributions to cinema will be missed. We offer our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace.
