In a candid interview on the Dream with Dr Sheen podcast, Nora addressed the controversy head-on, revealing that she had anticipated some negativity but believed certain online outrage was deliberately amplified. She accused paid influencers of fueling the controversy. The actress said, “I already know who hired you, when, and how much they paid you. That was an opportunity well squeezed by whoever was behind that.”

Nora clarified that she had not approved the Hindi adaptation, as she had originally recorded the song in Kannada three years ago without understanding the language. She explained, “They dubbed it in Hindi and changed the lyrics without my permission or approval. I told the director this was not okay and dissociated myself from the project. I did not promote it anywhere, as my reputation was on the line.”

The song was subsequently taken down after the public backlash intensified. Nora recounted that she was filming when the controversy erupted and remained calm amid the chaos.

Meanwhile, Nora’s career continues to soar internationally. She performed at the FIFA World Cup opening in June 2026, one of her biggest global stages yet.
