Ashutosh Gowariker

Sardar Ali Shah, Sindh Minister for Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, has demanded an apology from Ashutosh Gowariker, the maker of Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Mohenjo Daro’ over distortion of facts pertaining to Mohenjo Daro civilization.

He is said to be sending out a letter to the makers soon, containing Sindh’s reaction and objection regarding the film.

According to Shah, ‘Mohenjo Daro’ is no way a narration of the 5000-year-old civilization and its rich historic value, something that has been acknowledged globally, and is a work of pure imagination. ‘Mohenjo Daro’ was also included in the list of international heritage sites.

Now only Shah, but many critics and historians have slammed Gowariker for taking too much artistic liberty and distorting facts in process of making the film.
