Parineeti Chopra reveals the REAL REASON behind walking out from Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal

Finally, the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal had its teaser released yesterday, and since then it has been raising excitement amongst fans. Apart from the Brahmastra actor, Animal also stars Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles. Initially, the film was announced back in 2021 during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Well, amidst the excitement for Animal’s release, we just learned that Rashmika Mandanna replaced the newly married Parineeti Chopra. Yes, you read that right. Initially, Parineeti was the first option to play the leading lady opposite Ranbir Kapoor.

Rashmika Mandanna replaced Parineeti Chopra in Animal

Parineeti Chopra opted out of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer and was replaced by Rashmika Mandanna. The actress is playing the character of Geetanjali. Earlier, in an interview with India Today, The Kesari actress had opened up about the choice she had to make in order to walk out of the movie. Parineeti’s decision was majorly influenced by her wish to join Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila. During the promotion of Code Name Tirangaa, she said, “It is a part and parcel of life and we all make choices. You make the choice that is right for you.”

Well, as Parineeti decided not to be a part of Animal, the role was offered to the south sensation, Rashmika Mandanna.

About Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal

The much-awaited Animal teaser was dropped on Ranbir Kapoor’s birthday – 28th September. Ranbir and Anil Kapoor are essaying the role of father and son, whereas Rashmika is playing the role of Ranbir’s wife in the film. The teaser takes you through a gripping journey of the strained father-son relationship between Anil and Ranbir. Furthermore, Bobby Deol is playing the role of an antagonist and looks intriguing in the teaser.

Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Bobby Deol, the upcoming film also stars Triptii Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, and Saurabh Sachdeva. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal is slated to release on 1st December 2023.
