Sharing on Instagram Stories, Priya posted a heartfelt message. She described the day as particularly painful and reminisced about the man she loved. Priya also shared a nostalgic screenshot from past celebrations with Sunjay, accompanied by a long, touching note.

It read, “When I count my blessings, I count you twice. You are the heart of our family, my best friend, and an incredible mother to our children. In her message, Priya opened up about how much Sunjay’s absence affects her. She wrote, “Today is a difficult day for me. I always looked forward to your birthday wishes and cards, filled with your love, affection, and appreciation. I can’t celebrate my life without you, the love of my life (red heart emoji).”

Despite her sorrow, Priya shared that small moments brought her comfort. She described how her children made her feel Sunjay’s presence: “In the tiniest moments, I feel you near. Azarias made me a birthday card, and Safira wished me at midnight. That means everything to me. Through the children, I see the same love and gratitude you had for me, and I know you are still here with us.”

About Sunjay Kapur’s Passing and Legal Matters

Sunjay Kapur died while playing polo in London on June 12, 2025. His funeral was held on June 19 at the Lodhi Road Cremation Ground in South Delhi, attended by close family and friends. He was the chairman of Sona Comstar and was previously married to actress Karisma Kapoor, with whom he had two children, Samaira and Kiaan.

After their divorce in 2016, Sunjay married Priya Kapur, and they had a son named Azarias. Priya’s daughter, Safira, is from her previous marriage to hotelier Vikram Chatwal. Currently, legal proceedings are underway concerning Sunjay Kapur’s multibillion-dollar estate, involving his children from his marriage to Karisma Kapoor and Priya Kapur.
