Irrfan Khan Dies At 53: Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Ajay Devgn mourn his sudden demise

Today the entire world woke up to the heartbreaking news of Irrfan Khan’s untimely death. It’s still hard to digest that he has left for the heavenly abode. Priyanka Chopra, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn mourned the actor’s death on social media.

Priyanka Chopra, who has worked with Irrfan in Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘7 Khoon Maaf’, took to her Twitter handle and sharing a still from the same film wrote, “The charisma you brought to everything you did was pure magic. Your talent forged the way for so many in so many avenues… You inspired so many of us. #IrrfanKhan you will truly be missed. Condolences to the family. (sic)”

Akshay Kumar took to the microblogging site and wrote, “Such terrible news…saddened to hear about the demise of #IrrfanKhan, one of the finest actors of our time. May God give strength to his family in this difficult time (sic).” Akshay and Irrfan had worked together in the comedy-drama ‘Thank You’.

Ajay Devgn offered his condolences by sharing, “Heartbroken to hear about Irrfan’s untimely demise. It’s an irreparable loss for Indian cinema. Deepest condolences to his wife & sons. RIP Irrfan.”

The National Award-winning actor, Irrfan breathed his last today in a Mumbai hospital after battling neuroendocrine tumour for two years. The actor was 53.
