Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas welcomed their first child, a baby girl, earlier this year, via surrogacy. The couple took to Instagram to announce the birth of their little one. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas posted a note on Instagram, informing about the birth of their baby girl. According to a new report, the couple has already named their little one. Although Nick and Priyanka have not revealed the name of their baby girl yet, a report shares the little one’s birth date.

According to a report, the Jee Le Zaraa actress has named her baby girl, Malti Marie. Yes, you read that right! Priyanka and Nick have named their little one, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. The report cited the birth certificate, according to which, Malti Marie was born just after 8 PM.

Talking about the meaning behind the name Malti Marie, Malti is the Sanskrit origin which means small fragnant flower or moonlight. Marie means star of the sea as per the Latin Stella Maris. But, Marie also has a biblical connection. It means Mary, mother of Christ Jesus, in French.

Earlier, in January 2022, Priyanka had shared a post, announcing the birth of her daughter. She had shared a note that read: “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much.

Meanwhile, since their daughter’s birth, Nick and Priyanka celebrated their first Easter together. The actress took to her Instagram to share beautiful photos of Nick and her. Before, she has also shared a video, giving a glimpse into her baby’s room.

On the work front, the actress has the movie It’s All Coming Back To Me. She is awaiting the release of her movie with Sam Heughan and Celine Dion. Priyanka also has the movie Jee Le Zaraa with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. And, she has Russo Brothers’ Citadel with Richard Madden in her kitty.
