Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Vivek Oberoi, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor and Boman Irani are among the 500 persons who have been served notices by Cyberabad police for their alleged involvement in the multicrore Qnet scam.

According to a report published in DNA, since last two days, Cyberabad Police has served notices to around 500 members in the Qnet scam. DNA also quoted sources as saying that these actors have promoted the company by taking remuneration.

In the notices, Cyberabad police has asked these actors to explain their association with the Qnet firm and whether they had knowledge about the activities of the firm. The actors have also been asked to furnish details of the payments they had received from the firm, if any, for taking part in promotional activities.

Cyberabad Police have given a week’s time to the alleged accused and asked them to appear before the police by March 4. The police have also mentioned in the notices that if they failed to appear, legal action will be initiated against them.

Notably, QNet was accused of running Ponzi scams in India and cheated over three lakh people. Cyberabad police busted the racket and arrested 57 in connection with it. At least, 30 cases were registered against QNet.

Founded in Hong Kong in 1998, QNet is the main subsidiary of the QI group of companies. The company is owned by Vijay Eshwaran and Joseph Bismark.
