Riteish Deshmukh shares a heartbreaking video on his father Vilasrao Deshmukh’s birth anniversary

They say the father is your first friend and your favourite superhero. There’s no bond greater than that of a father and son. Riteish Deshmukh remembered his late father Vilasrao Deshmukh on his 75th birth anniversary by sharing a heartbreaking video.

Generally, we see most of the celebs sharing a message on their parents’ birth or a death anniversary. But Riteish left his fans and followers teary-eyed by posting a video, in which he imagines hugging his late father Vilasrao Deshmukh.

The ‘Marjaavaan’ actor shared the video alongside the caption, “Happy Birthday, PAPPA….. Miss you everyday!! #vilasraodeshmukh75″.  In the video, we can see Riteish embracing his father’s clothes on a hanger while ‘Agneepath’s ‘Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin’ plays in the background.

The actor’s friend and family members showered the post with heart and praying emoji. Abhishek Bachchan, Amruta Khanvilkar, Maniesh Paul and others left heart emojis in the comment section.

Riteish’s wife Genelia also shared a heartwarming post for her father-in-law. The actress shared a pic where she can be seen paying a tribute to Vilasrao’s statue. Alongside the pic, Genelia wrote, “Riaan’s teacher asked him “What are you most proud of”.. His answer was. “My Ajoba”.. You are our pride Pappa… We feel your presence every day and know that you are looking after us wherever you are..You live in us and we celebrate you every single day. Happy Birthday, Pappa❤️. #VilasraoDeshmukh75 (sic).”

Shatrughan Sinha, remembering his good friend, took to Twitter and wrote, “Prayers & tributes to the two-time frm CM, Maharashtra, & frm Union Cabinet minister, our very dear friend, late & great #VilasraoDeshmukh on his birth anniversary. He was a true son of the soil & an able administrator, having held several portfolios effectively (sic)”
