Bollywood stars, including Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan, Karan Johar, Salim Khan and others, gathered at the cremation ground to pay their respects during the last rites of Ayan Mukerji’s father, veteran actor Deb Mukherjee. Deb Mukherjee passed away earlier today, March 14, 2025, at the age of 83.

The last rites for Deb Mukherjee were held at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Juhu, Mumbai, where the Bollywood community came together to honour his memory.

Upon hearing the news of Deb Mukherjee’s passing, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt decided to cut short their birthday vacation. They rushed to support their friend during this difficult time. Karan Johar, Kajol, her son Yug Devgan, Jaya Bachchan, and Shweta Bachchan were among those who visited Ayan Mukerji’s home to express their sympathies. According to a report by Zoom, the late actor’s representative confirmed that Deb Mukherjee passed away after a prolonged battle with age-related ailments.
