Salman Khan shared a post on X (formerly Twitter), backing Rajpal Yadav. He highlighted the actor’s dedication over the past 30 years and assured that he will keep receiving ample work. “Rajpal bhai, aap 30 saal se kaam kar rahe ho, aur hum sabne aapko baar baar chunha hai kyunki aap apna kaam jaante ho aur value laate ho. Aapko bahut saara kaam milega, aur yeh dollar rate pe milega, aur milte rahega. Sach toh yeh hai,” Salman wrote.

He further added, “Aur yaad rakho, kabhi kabhi baat flow mein nikal jaati hai. Jo bhi dena ho, dil se do. Dollar chahe upar jaaye ya neeche, kya farak padta hai? Paise toh India mein hi lagne hai.”

The controversy began when Rajpal Yadav, during a speech, commented on the global chaos and the fluctuating rupee-dollar exchange. He mocked, “Main soch raha tha ki aajkal duniya mein bahut dhuaan hai, itne yudh ho rahe hain. Kaha baithun, kya sochun? Rupey aur dollar upar neeche ho rahe hain, mujhe kuch samajh nahi aa raha. Bas shanti se baith kar yahi soch raha hoon.”

In reply, Saurabh Dwivedi quipped, “Rajpal bhai, dollar kitna bhi upar neeche ho, aapko utne hi paise lautane padenge jitne udhaar hain.” Rajpal responded with a smile, “Masla toh ek baar sun lo—kitne paise utne hi lautaane hain, main toh sirf masla sunana chahta hoon.”

Comedian Zakir Khan then intervened, noting that the matter was currently under court proceedings. And he suggested that such discussions should be handled separately, to avoid further controversy at the event.
