Sanjay Dutt

Towards the end of August, we were introduced to the first look of Sanjay Dutt from ‘The Good Maharaja’, an Omung Kumar film. The picture had Sanjay Dutt in the garb of a Maharaja and the tweet said, “Here is the first look of Sanjay Dutt as Maharaja Jam Sahib Digvijaysinhji Ranjitsinhji in #TheGoodMaharaja. Directed by Omung Kumar.”

Reportedly, Sanjay Dutt was to play the role of Maharaja Jam Sahib Digvijaysinhji Ranjitsinhji, the ruler of Nawanagar, a princely state in British India. However, these reports are completely baseless and there is no truth to them, as confirmed by a source. In fact, the image that was released on social media with Sanjay Dutt as Maharaja was a photoshopped picture so as to provide a visual representation to the character. There was never any such movie in the making. It was just a fake news reports with a photoshopped picture that made people believe it to be one of his upcoming projects. On the personal front, the actor has struggled through a lot in terms of is prison term. In an interview to IANS, he had said, “I do not know about others but I feel if I have gone through something and come out as a winner then I should I tell my story. There are few who have come out of drug addiction but I have. Our future generation and our kids are being affected by drugs. I want to start rehab centers, talk to the youth and tell them that if I can come out of it anyone can.”
