Shah Rukh Khan finds a superhero fan in MCU’s Ms. Marvel

Shah Rukh Khan may not have entered the MCU himself yet, but has found fans in a number of their superheroes. After Doctor Strange star Benedict Cumberbatch expressed his desire to see the Bollywood superstar make an entry into the MCU films. We now have a new superhero who is also a huge SRK fan. She is none other than Ms Marvel.

Ms Marvel is the next series joining the Phase 4 line-up of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The newest superhero is a bona fide fan of superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

Ms Marvel is a Shah Rukh Khan fan and loves talking about his films and mouthing his dialogues. The series will be introducing the first Pakistani American superhero Kamala Khan. Actress Iman Vellani will be seen playing the titular character. Bollywood actor, filmmaker and singer Farhan Akhtar and Pakistani actor Fawad Khan are also set to appear in the show. ‘Hostages’ actor Mohan Kapur features in the show as well.

The first reactions to the show are out and fans love the Shah Rukh Khan connection. A critic tweeted, “They shout out BAAZIGAR, DDLJ and SRK in #MsMarvel episode 2 so *obviously* it’s the best Marvel series ever.” Another wrote, “LOVED the primary 2 eps of Ms Marvel. That is the South Asian rep I wish to see. Sugar-coated saunf, dialogue about @iamsrk’s greatest movie, a soundtrack together with @hasanraheeem’s Peechay Hutt. Kamala Khan is unapologetically brown and I LOVE IT.”

Directed by Adil El Arbi-Bilall Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and Meera Menon, ‘Ms Marvel’ will start streaming in India on June 8.
