Shah Rukh Khan: Tricked Deepika Padukone to do a full length role in Jawan by telling her it’s a special appearance

Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan finally released in the theatres on 7^th September. And well, it was worth the wait. Jawan is packed with action, drama, romance and entertainment. SRK has delivered an impressive performance in Jawan. Not just Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone also grabbed attention. The actress has a special cameo in SRK’s Jawan. The actress essayed the role of SRK’s wife, as well as his mother. Fans will agree that her role was short, but it managed to won hearts.

At the Jawan success press conference, Shah Rukh Khan opened up about Deepika’s cameo in Jawan. The actor stated that he and Atlee tricked Deepika into doing a full length role by telling her that it’s a special appearance. The actor said, “She feels mein toh dosti mein chota sa role karne aagayi thi but between me and Atlee we fooled her and shot a full length film with her. She has not even realized.”

King Khan added, “When she saw the film she was like ‘Oh, I am one of the main characters’.” The actor further thanked Deepika for being a part of the film.

Before Jawan, SRK and Deepika were seen together in Pathaan. And in Pathaan as well, their chemistry was on point.

As many are aware, Deepika made her big Bollywood debut with Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om. She starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Post that, she was seen with him in Happy New Year and Chennai Express.

Coming back to Jawan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Eijaz Khan, Ridhi Dogra, and Girija Oak are also a part of the film. The film is doing extremely well at the box office. For the uninitiated, it has collected over Rs 600 crores at the global box office.
