Shahid Kapoor MOBBED By Fans During O’Romeo Song; Overwhelmed Actor Briefly Leaves Stage- Watch

Last evening, February 6, the makers of Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri’s O’Romeo released the film’s massy track, Paan Ki Dukaan. While Shahid and Disha Patani set the screen on fire with their smooth, swag-filled dance moves, fans also got to see Kapoor steal hearts by performing the song live in front of hundreds of fans.

However, the Friday evening event – which started on a celebratory note, soon took an unexpected turn when several fans stormed the stage and mobbed the star. Scroll below to know what happened and even watch glimpses of the incident.

Shahid Kapoor Mobbed At O’Romeo Song Launch

To launch Paan Ki Dukaan, the makers of O’Romeo organized a fun-filled event in Mumbai that saw the film’s lead actors – Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, taste some paans and even dance on stage with several trained dancers. While this was met with much cheer, a couple of fans present in the audince also put forth their wishes to dance with the stars. Following the requests, Shahid called a few fans onto the stage to dance with him. However, the situation quickly escalated when several fans rushed the stage at once, crowding and mobbing the actor.

As the chaos unfolded, Shahid – overwhelmed with the unexpected response, stepped off the stage for his own safety. Triptii – who was also on stage when the fans rushed in, was moved to the side and appeared visibly shocked. After a couple of moments backstage – and the security making sure all the fans were back in their places, Kapoor returned to the spotlight.

Talking about the newly released song, Paan Ki Dukaan is composed by Vishal Bhardwaj, penned by lyricist Gulzar, and sung by Sukhwinder Singh and Rekha Bhardwaj. The song – choreographed by Jani Master, is a lively, high-energy dance number featuring Shahid Kapoor and Disha Patani.

Written and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, O’Romeo is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner. Reportedly based on the book Mafia Queens of Mumbai by Hussain Zaidi, the action thriller stars Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri in lead roles. The film also features Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Tamannaah Bhatia, Disha Patani, Farida Jalal and Vikrant Massey in pivotal roles. The film will release in theatres this Friday, February 13, 2026, coinciding with Valentine’s Day.
