The #MeToo movement, that was initiated by actress Tanushree Dutta, has gained momentum in India with not only women but men too opening up with their stories of being sexually harassed. The movement has caused many alleged culprits to step down from their powerful positions and even publicly get shamed for their ghastly acts.

Salman Khan’s ex-girlfriend Somy Ali too opened up about being sexually assaulted at a young age. She also commended the victims who had spoken out against sexual predators and urged them to not be discouraged by non-believers.

Today, the actress has once again taken to social media and shared a video talking about the #MeToo movement. She emphasized that young boys and men are also victims and it equally impacts men and women. Sony also lauded Saif Ali Khan for sharing his #MeToo story. Saif had said recently that he was harassed 25 years ago and that he is still angry about it even though the harassment was not sexual in nature.

She also talked about groping and how she was a victim of it while shooting in Mumbai. She said that a bunch of men tried to grope her. She had to run and fight and Satish Shah had to come to her rescue.

The #MeToo movement has led to filmmaker Sajid Khan ouster from ‘Housefull 4’. ‘Queen’ director Vikas Bahl has been ousted from Phantom films and may be ousted from his film ‘Super 30’. YRF has sacked Ashish Patil and CINTAA and IFTDA has initiated action against Alok Nath and Nana Patekar. Many others like Subhash Ghai and Vivek Agnihotri have been shamed on the social media.
