Sonakshi Sinha-Zaheer Iqbal wedding: Newlyweds smile brightly in first spotting after marriage; actress wears sindoor

Earlier today, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal tied the knot by opting for a civil wedding ceremony and registering their marriage under the Special Marriage Act. After the intimate function at the actress’ sea-facing residence in Bandra, the newlyweds are now in South Mumbai to celebrate the special occasion with family, friends and colleagues from the film industry.

On the way to their reception party, the newlyweds were snapped by the paps for the first time as Mr & Mrs Iqbal and were all smiles in the car.

Soon after the civil ceremony at her Bandra residence, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal had a change of outfit before heading to Bastian in South Mumbai for their reception. The actress swapped her mother’s white vintage saree for a bold red saree while her husband opted for an all-white desi look that included a coat. As per reports, the saree is a custom ‘Chand buta’ brocade saree by Raw Mango. Check out glimpses of their look here:

While the couple opted for a civil wedding ceremony and not one according to Hindu or Muslim customs, the ‘Dabangg’ actress was snapped with sindoor applied to her forehead. The actress accessorised her look with traditional jewellery featuring green stones and a white rose gajra.

The happy couple also posed for pics with the media present at the reception venue.
