Sushant Singh Rajput’s dear friend Mahesh Shetty ‘completely heartbroken’ by the actor’s untimely demise

Mahesh Shetty was Sushant Singh Rajput’s close friend with whom the latter used to share about his personal life. Their friendship dated back when they worked together in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Pavitra Rishta’. Sushant considered him as his brother. As per Sushant’s phone records, his last call before his suicide was to Mahesh but it was not received. Sushant might have wanted to share something before taking this drastic step.

Mahesh is ‘completely heartbroken’ by the death of Sushant. His team issued a statement requesting the media to give him some space as he has lost a brother and a dear friend in Sushant.

The statement read: “As we are all deeply pained and shocked to hear about Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise…so is Mahesh Shetty. He has lost a brother, a very dear friend and is still coming to terms with the shock and reality and is completely heartbroken. We, his team, request the media and all of you, on his behalf, to please give him some privacy and let him greave for his loss.”

Last month on Mahesh’s birthday, Sushant wished him with a heartwarming post on Instagram.

Meanwhile, the postmortem report has come and it has confirmed that Sushant has committed suicide. He was reportedly suffering from depression and it might be the reason for ending his life. Police have not found any suicide note at his residence.

His family is at a state of shock and they have left for Mumbai from Bihar to perform his last rites.
