Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case: Dia Mirza Demands Apology For Rhea Chakraborty, Pooja Bhatt Supports Actress After She Gets Clean Chit By CBI

Rhea Chakraborty has been under the hot waters ever since she has been embroiled in the case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise. After the actor’s death, several accusations were levelled against Rhea after which she was under CBI’s radar. However, the case has now found a closude and Rhea Chakraborty was grated clean chit in Sushant Singh Rajput case. After the news came, several celebs including Dia Mirza, Pooja Bhatt and Arjit Taneja have come out in her support.

Meanwhile, actress Dia Mirza has reacted to the CBI’s closure report and said that the media owes Rhea an apology. Taking to Instagram Stories, she wrote, “Who in the media will have the grace to put out a written apology to Rhea Chakraborthy and her family? You went on a witch hunt. You caused deep anguish and harrasment just for TRP’s. Apologise. That’s the very least you can do.”

On Sunday morning, Pooja took to her X (formerly Twitter) account and reshared Akshay Kumar’s post from August 19, 2020, where he had written, “SC directs CBI to investigate Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. May the truth always prevail.” Adding her own reflection in light of the recent report, Pooja commented, “The CBI’s March 22, 2025, closure report confirms Sushant Singh Rajput’s death as suicide with no foul play, clearing #RheaChakraborty and others. The truth has prevailed. #PrayersAnswered.”

Reacting to the news, Arjit took aim at the media’s relentless coverage and the damage done to Rhea’s reputation. Commenting on an Instagram post, he wrote, “Finally… but what they’ve done to Rhea is beyond forgiveness. Even if you fall to your knees and beg, it wouldn’t be enough to undo the damage.”

About Rhea Chakraborty’s case

Sushant Singh Rajput, 34, was found hanging in his apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra area on June 14, 2020. His father, KK Singh, had accused Rhea Chakraborty and her family of misappropriating his son’s money and alleged her being responsible for his suicide. However, she has now been given clean chit in the whole case. Her lawyer has also reacted to the closure and said, “The CBI has filed a closure report in connection with the death of Sushant Singh Rajput after almost four and a half years. We are grateful to the CBI for having thoroughly investigated every aspect of the case from all angles and closed the case. The amount of false narrative in social media and electronic media was totally uncalled for. Innocent people were hounded and paraded before the media and investigative authorities. I hope this does not repeat in any case,” Maneshinde said.
