Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Chhichhore released in 2019. The Nitesh Tiwari directorial went on to receive rave reviews from the audience and critics alike. The film recently bagged the Best Feature Film Award in Hindi at the 67th National Film Awards. Sushant’s fans and family are overjoyed and they are missing him all the more. The late actor’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti is naturally elated that his film has bagged the National Award.

Shweta took to her social media handles and expressed how happy and proud she is of her late brother. She also expressed her pain and wished her baby brother was here to receive the award.

Reacting to the news of Chhichhore bagging the National Award, Shweta took to her Twitter handle and wrote, “‘Chhichhore’ wins National Film Award.” Bhai, I know you are watching, but I wish you were there to receive the award. Not a single day passes when I don’t feel proud of you.#ChhichhoreBagsNationalAward #SushantOurHero(sic).”

Shweta recently also shared pictures of few benches in Australia that have been named after Sushant in his memory. Sharing those pictures, Shweta wrote, “He lives on… his name lives on… his essence lives on! That is the impact of a pure soul! You are God’s own child my baby… you will always live on…❤️ #ForeverSushant(sic).”

The benches named after Sushant describe him as, ‘An actor, Keen Astronomer, Environmentalist, and Humanitarian. A soul that touched millions.’ Whereas another bench has Sushant’s point inscribed on it that read, ‘light so bright, it unearthed the darkness to bring about the change.’

Ever since Sushant’s tragic death, Shweta and her family are trying to find closure. They are awaiting the conclusion of the CBI investigation of Sushant’s death.
