Tahira Kashyap BLASTED for sitting on Lord Buddha’s lap; apologises later and deletes picture

Bollywood stars have some strange sort of a connection with controversies, don’t you agree? Ayushmann Khurrana‘s wife Tahira Kashyap is a straightforward individual and doesn’t mince her words. Now, Tahira recently posted a series of pictures from a wellness resort on social media. Amongst all those pictures, Tahira’s one photo caught netizens’ attention. The particular picture in the series has Tahira sitting on the giant statue of Buddha. This didn’t go down well with people on social media and they questioned her for hurting religious sentiments.

The particular post has been taken down by Tahira now and she has offered her apology.

Tahira said,  “I apologise if I have offended anybody, but I myself am a Nicherin’s Buddhism practitioner and I felt embraced in the lap of Buddha. Every religion, every philosophy is about love. In no way did I mean to disrespect. Sorry if I have hurt anyone From my perspective there is only love.”

Though netizens made their displeasure quite clear with their comments.

Tahira has settled the matter by apologising and saying that she didn’t mean to hurt anyone’s religious sentiments.
