Maarrich: Tusshar Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah begin filming for the thriller

Tusshar Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah have teamed up for a thriller titled Maarrich. Tusshar took to his Twitter handle to share a glimpse from the upcoming film. Tusshar will apparently play a police officer while Naseeruddin will be seen as a catholic priest. Maarrich will be directed by debutant Dhruv Lather.

Announcing the film, Tusshar said that after a 20-year journey of making movies, he is beginning 2021 with Maarrich. The actor revealed that he is excited to share screen space with ‘Naseer Sir’. Naseeruddin and Tusshar’s fans are excited to see them collaborate. Along with the fans, Tusshar’s sister Ekta Kapoor is also eagerly waiting for the film.

Tusshar shared a picture with Naseeruddin. He was seen dressed as a police officer, while the veteran actor was dressed as a priest. Alongside the pics, Tusshar wrote, “Almost 20 yrs down this wonderful journey of making stories come to life, beginning 2021 with #Maarrich..a departure from my usual style,a film that challenges me to evolve as an actor! Excited to share glimpses, even more excited to share screen space with Naseer Sir after long!(sic).”

Tusshar’s sister and TV Czarina Ekta Kapoor was all praise as she retweeted his post. She wrote, “This is Fantastic. Waiting for the film !”

Meanwhile talking about the title of the movie, reportedly it’s drawn from the Hindu epic, Ramayana. Maarrich is Raavana’s aide who had assisted the king of Lanka in kidnapping Sita. Tusshar will be producing the Dhruv Lather directorial. The actor had last produced the Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani starrer Laxmmi.
