Vicky Kaushal is currently gearing up for his third movie of the year, Sam Bahadur. Earlier he starred in films like Zara Hatke Zara Bachke and The Great Indian Family. With Sam Bahadur he is all set to captivate the audience as he will don the army officer’s uniform for the third time after URI and Raazi. Recently, the teaser of biographical drama was unveiled and it garnered rave reviews. Now, as per attest update, the makers shot with real army personnels.

Sam Bahadur is biography is based on the life of Sam Manekshaw who was the first Army officer promoted to the rank of field marshal. To keep the setting and vibe of the film authentic, the makers shot with real life army personnels as background artists. The makers dropped teaser of the upcoming film on 13th October and it looked every bit promising.

The teaser gives a glimpse of Vicky Kaushal as dedicated field marshal Sam Manekshaw. It also sheds light on politics that take place in the system and how Sam does not succumb to the pressure. We also witness a glimpse Sanya Malhotra as his wife motivating him that army is his calling. Apart from him, its Fatima Sana Shaikh and then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi who steals the show.

 About Sam Bahadur

This biography is based on the life of Sam Manekshaw who was the Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. He was the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of field marshal. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the biographical drama will also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sanya Malhotra in pivotal roles.

The film will be releasing in cinemas on 1st December, 2023. It marks second collaboration between Vicky Kaushal and Meghna Gulzar
