‘Bharat’: Wagah Border to be recreated for Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer in Punjab
Shooting for the much-awaited film of Salman Khan is in full swing, as the star is currently in Punjab for the film ‘Bharat’. The news from the sets of ‘Bharat’ is that the famous Wagah Border is going to be recreated in Ludhiana.
It is being said that Ali Abbas Zafar has completed over 75% of the shoot for his big banner film ‘Bharat’. The Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer is majorly shot in Punjab, Mumbai, Delhi and Malta. Various reports also claim that the makers of the film wanted to shoot at the Wagah Border of Pakistan. However, due to strict security reasons, it was not possible for the stars to shoot there. Hence, the ‘Bharat’ team have come up with a new trick. The Wagah Border will be recreated in Ludhiana for Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.
A source told DNA, “The film will span across seven decades and will also capture the evolution of India, along with its main leading character (played by Salman). The team had to film a few portions at the Wagah border, but it wasn’t feasible for security reasons. So, for the Punjab leg of the shoot, the team has built a gigantic set. Producer Atul Agnihotri and Ali have envisioned the film in a certain way and they are making sure it looks like a visual extravaganza. They have recreated the Wagah border in Ludhiana where Salman and Katrina will be shooting for the next eight days, starting today.”
