Zareen Khan made her Bollywood debut with Salman Khan starrer Veer. After Veer was released, Zareen Khan was compared to Katrina Kaif. The actress was called Katrina’s lookalike. Now, Zareen opened up about the comparisons. She conducted an Ask Me Anything session on Reddit where she shared her honest thoughts on being compared to Katrina in the initial days of her career.

Zareen Khan talks about being compared to Katrina Kaif

A Reddit user asked her, “Hi Zareen, people compared you a lot with Katrina Kaif in your early days in Bollywood. How did you make it feel, and did it have any impact on the big screen?” Zareen responded saying, “Hi, so when I entered this industry, I was literally like a lost child since I don’t come from a filmy background so it made feel really happy being compared to Katrina as I was her fan too and found her really pretty. But it backfired on my career as the people of this industry didn’t give me a chance to prove my individuality.”

The actress also opened up about working with Salman Khan in her debut film. Zareen revealed that it was ‘intimidating’.

Furthermore, Zareen mentioned that one thing she dislikes the most about Bollywood is “people working on the basis of friendship rather than talent.” When asked if she would have had it easy in her career due to connections, Zareen replied saying, “NO… you are mistaken… I don’t really have  a lot of connections in the industry and I also don’t really know how to do small talks.”

Zareen made her Bollywood debut playing a princess in the epic action film Veer. She later appeared in the popular item number ‘Character Dheela’ in Salman Khan’s comedy film Ready. Post that, Zareen appeared in Akshay Kumar starrer Housefull 2 and Hate Story 3. The actress ventured into Tamil industry with an item number Malgove in Naan Rajavafa Pogiren. It was in 2019, she made her Telugu film debut with the action thriller Chanakya. The actress was last seen in Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele which released in 2021.
