Mumbai is a city of dreams where most people come with the ambition of becoming a Bollywood star or at least meeting one of them. While many of them are never able to fulfill their dreams, we have some places like Shah Rukh Khan‘s sea-facing house Mannat and Amitabh Bachchan’s house Jalsa which are constantly thronged by their die-hard fans. SRK’s Mannat is always crowded with his fans who stand outside for hours just to catch a glimpse of their favourite actor.

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that every Bollywood buff aspires to visit Mannat at least once in their lifetime. And the staggering cost of the place will make your jaws drop. Reportedly, Mannat which is situated in Lands End, Bandstand is one of the most expensive properties owned by Shah Rukh. It costs around Rs 200 crore approx. But did you know Mannat was originally meant to be owned by Salman Khan? Yes, you read that right.

In one of his recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Salman Khan revealed that when he had started off his career, Mannat was offered to him. However, his father Salim Khan advised him against buying it. Salman said that his father asked, “Itne bade ghar me karoge kya?”. The house was eventually bought by Salman’s good friend Shah Rukh. Salman stays with his family in Galaxy Apartments in Bandra.

On the work front, Salman is currently busy promoting his Eid release ‘Bharat’. The film is helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar and stars Katrina Kaif opposite Salman.
