Adipurush worldwide box office: Prabhas-Kriti Sanon starrer CRASHES after a 100 cr hattrick over opening weekend

Regardless of negative reviews, Adipurush starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon started on a high note at the box office. The film collected Rs 140 crores on day 1 globally. The film had a 100-core hattrick when the film didn’t come down from 100 crores. However, after a good opening weekend, the film crashed on Monday as it didn’t fare well on day 4.

It seems like word of mouth has impacted Adipurush, hence, their box office collections have noticed a huge difference. Speaking about the Adipurush worldwide box office, the film collected Rs 35 crores on Monday. The total comes to Rs 375 crores at the worldwide box office. As Adipurush was collecting in three digits, the movie comes down to 2-digit collections.

Friday – Day 1: Rs 140 cr

Saturday – Day 2: Rs 100 cr

Sunday – Day 3: Rs 100 cr

Monday – Day 4: Rs 35 cr

Total – Rs 375 cr

Meanwhile, Adipurush has been facing severe backlash from fans and critics due to poor execution. From poor VFX to cringe dialogues and bad story narration, fans are bashing this film. Despite the negative comments, Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer only did wonders on its opening weekend.

Amid the severe backlash, Kriti who played Janaki in the movie shared a series of pictures and videos from the theatres on her Instagram. The fans are seen cheering and clapping while watching Adipurush. Sharing the post amid the criticism, the Mimi actor captioned, “Focusing on the cheers and claps! Jai Siya Ram.”

Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush also starred Saif Ali Khan as Ravan, Sunny Singh as Lakshman and Devdutta Nage as Hanuman. The film was released on June 16.
