Awarapan 2 Box Office
According to Sacnilk, Awarapan 2 earned over Rs 21 crore net on its opening day, making it the highest-earning film in the emerging franchise. The first Awarapan, released in 2007, was a box office failure, earning only Rs 7.76 crore during its lifetime. Awarapan 2 took just 8 hours to cross that mark. The India Gross Collection was Rs 25.20 crore, Overseas Gross was Rs 2 crore, and the Worldwide Total was Rs 27.20 crore.
Awarapan 2 Sets A New Record For Emraan Hashmi
Awarapan 2 has been selling over 20,000 tickets per hour on BookMyShow throughout Friday. This is an extraordinary pace for any film without a huge superstar. It marks the biggest opening of Emraan Hashmi’s career. Previously, only two of Emraan’s films had double-digit openings: Raaz 2, which opened at Rs 10.35 crore in 2012, and Baadshaho, earning Rs 12.60 crore on its release day in 2017. Awarapan 2 is set to surpass both these records easily. The first Awarapan had an opening-day collection of just Rs 79 lakh and a first-weekend total of Rs 2.88 crore, figures that are considered modest even after adjusting for inflation.
