Welcome To The Jungle Box Office Day 1 (Worldwide): Akshay Kumar-Led Ensemble Comedy Opens Wells; Mints Nearly Rs 30 Cr On Friday

The third instalment in the Welcome franchise – Welcome to the Jungle released on June 26 and has managed to impress the audience. The action adventure comedy – that stars over 30 actors, has checked all the right boxes when it comes to delivering an entertaining and nostalgia-filled comedy that is sure to make you laugh you hearts out. As reported by trade website Sacnilk, the Akshay Kumar, Jackie Shroff and Suniel Shetty-led comedy had 13,386 shows in India and netted an impressive Rs 19 crore from those shows. According to their report, the film gross Rs 22.80 crore in India and Rs 6.50 crore overseas, taking its total worldwide gross to Rs 29.30Cr.

About The Film

Giving the film a 3.5 star rating, Bollywood Bubble wrote in its review, “Welcome To The Jungle never pretends to be anything other than a loud, unapologetic comedy. Several gags land successfully, especially in the second half. The ensemble cast shares excellent chemistry. Nostalgic references to the Welcome universe will delight longtime fans. The climax is chaotic in the best possible way and delivers genuine laughs. Family audiences will appreciate the clean humour and mass appeal.”

The film is directed by Ahmed Khan and written by Late Neeraj Vora with dialogues penned by Farhad Samji. The star cast includes several top Bollywood names such as Akshay Kumar, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani and Raveena Tandon. The ensemble comedy also features Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Farida Jalal, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Zakir Hussain, Yashpal Sharma, Lara Dutta, Aftab Shivdasani, Kiran Kumar and Vindu Dara Singh in pivotal roles.
