Abhishek Sharrma, who plays Devansh in the hit TV show Vasudha, is currently enjoying the audience’s overwhelming response as the show continues to dominate the TRP charts. Abhishek Sharrma Opens Up On TRP Pressure On Vasudha Sets

Speaking about how the show’s growing success has impacted the team, Abhishek Sharrma shared that the change is both exciting and grounding at the same time. “The success of the show definitely changes the atmosphere on set and in the best possible way. There’s this certain confidence and excitement that naturally comes with the show, which consistently connects with the audience,” he said.

But along with that excitement comes a deeper sense of responsibility. He explained, “At the same time, the success raises the creative bar for all of us. As actors, we become more conscious about maintaining the emotional honesty of our characters because viewers are deeply invested in the story now.”

Abhishek didn’t shy away from admitting that expectations are higher now, but he sees it as a positive force. “It’s a good kind of pressure. The kind that keeps you sharp, grateful, and hungry to do better every day and in every scene,” he added, making it clear that he’s embracing the moment rather than feeling weighed down by it.

When asked about TRP being the ultimate yardstick of success in television, the actor had a balanced take. He said it’s important, but also that numbers don’t always tell the entire story. “Well, see TRP, it’s obviously an important part of TV because it reflects the audience’s engagement on a large scale. In many ways, if we look at it this way, it’s a report card of how well a show is performing,” he said.

Abhishek Sharrma Calls Success A “Good Kind Of Pressure”

However, what truly stays with him are real-life reactions. “But I don’t think it’s the only measure of success, because the real impact of the show is visible in the conversations people have. When I meet people, the way they talk about particular scenes, I think that’s the success, and that’s the most important point.”

He further summed it up by saying, “The conversation people have, the emotional connection they build with characters and the longevity of that love, it goes beyond the chart. So numbers can tell you how many people are watching, but the audience tells you why they are watching.”

With Vasudha continuing to hold its position on the charts, Abhishek’s focus clearly remains on staying honest to his craft while enjoying the response coming his way.
