Anjali Anand On How She Got Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani

When asked about how she got Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Anjali Anand said, “Mujhe Shanu ji ka phone aaya tha, and she said, ‘Karan is looking for a girl, and he has really liked you. He wants to see an audition and see if you can act.’ I said, ‘Okay.’ Toh maine audition bheja, and she said that within the first few seconds, he knew I was the girl for the part. So I think kuch toh, you know, universe ne meri taraf uss din sab kuch kar diya. Saari achhi vibes meri taraf aa gayi, and I got that part. The same way, I have got Dhamaal as well. Kuch toh sahi kar rahi hoongi.”

Anjali Anand Recalls Dharmendra Reciting His Written Shayaris

Speaking of core memories from the sets, the actress shared, “Core memory would just be sitting with Dharam ji and listening to his shayaris and poems that he has written himself, which I told him to document and put on Instagram because I said, ‘I want the world to see it.’ It’s just beautiful, and I love that I have those memories to keep with me. His voice—I can still hear it. I have accepted the fact that he is no longer with us, but for me, he is still here. And I loved spending time with Jaya ji. I love her. She is amazing. People say things about her, but she’s not like that at all. She is very funny, absolutely amazing, and just like a little child. I love her.”

Concluding she added, “And Shabana ji, Jeetu ji—I love them too. With all of these people, I never imagined that I would get to breathe the same air as them or be in the same frame as them. So I think I’m just grateful that, with whatever opportunities I’ve received so far, I’ve already had the chance to work with so many incredible people. You know, in two films, both were multi-starrers, so I got to work with so many people at the same time. So I think I’m just grateful. I’m just grateful. The real BTS for me is the fact that I got to share the screen with them and create these memories with them, which I will always keep very close to my heart.”
