EXCLUSIVE: Arun Govil heaps praise on OMG 2 co-stars Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi, says ‘they have worked more than me’

Arun Govil has been an integral part of the entertainment industry for several years now. The veteran actor is best known for playing the role of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s ‘Ramayan’. He is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie ‘OMG 2’. The film is a sequel to a 2012 popular film. In OMG 2, Arun Govil will be seen as a school principal.

While the first part was based on religious fanaticism and superstitions, the sequel will be based on the importance of including sex education in the Indian education system. The sequel will have Akshay Kumar reprise his part, while Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam will be joining the cast. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Arun Govil praised his co-stars Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi.

During the release of OMG, Akshay Kumar was going through a rough phase in his career, but the film proved to be a game changer. Talking about the expectation this time, Arun Govil said, “Let’s hope history repeats itself.” Sharing his thoughts on the 2012 film, the Ramayana actor averred, “I liked it. It was a very well-made film.”

We further asked him about his equation with Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi on set. To which the actor replied, “They are very good and senior actors. They have done so much work. I have spent more years in the industry, but they have worked more than me. Specially Akshay, he’s been working for so long. They are a complete package. They both are good.”
