Daboo Malik Opens Up On Reuniting With Amaal Malik Post Bigg Boss

When questioned about what it was like reuniting with his son Amaal Malik after a long gap following Bigg Boss, Daboo Malik shared, “Main dara hua tha, because jab woh aaya tha toh mujhe laga ki bahut saare factors hain, aur waisa hi tha kyunki woh impact mentally uske upar bahut strong hua tha Bigg Boss ka. Maine aisa kiya ki main uske saath baith gaya, uske saath maine samay nikala aur maine sirf suna woh kya keh raha hai—us cheez ko maine suna. Kyunki bahut saari cheezein pehle bhi ho chuki thi. Controversy ho chuki thi ki family se detach ho gaya, and all that.”

He continued, “Bigg Boss se aane ke baad mujhe aisa laga ki woh joh emotional prabhav pada hai, aur usko yeh bhi nahi pata chala ki kis tarah… woh dekh nahi pa raha tha. Toh joh kuch uski life mein hua, jab usne bahar aakar dekha, toh usne mujhse poocha, ‘Papa, ab samajh aa raha hai aap kya bol rahe the jab aap aaye the.’ Uska kehna tha ki bahut saari achhi cheezein bhi hain joh nahi dikhayi gayi, aur bahut saari buri cheezein bhi nahi dikhayi gayi. Jo logon ne dekha, ussi pe unhone apni soch bana li. Lekin jab hum react karte the, usse pehle 5 ghante ka doosre logon ke behaviour ka impact hota tha. Reaction dikhaya gaya, lekin kaise hum pareshaan hue ya kis baat se hue—woh reason nahi dikhaya gaya. Sirf reactions dikhaye gaye. Toh woh toh game show hai.”

Daboo Malik Recalls Calling Back Amaal Malik From Bigg Boss

Speaking on the pressure Amaal has been through, he said, “Mujhe laga ki psychologically definitely bahut pressure hai. Main toh show ke dauraan hi mid-week usko bola tha ki ‘tu aaja wapas,’ mujhe laga shayad yeh sahi nahi hai, us par impact daal raha hai. Main uski popularity chahta tha, lekin aaj dekhiye—jab main airport jaata hoon toh log mujhe Armaan (Malik) ke papa nahi kehte, woh kehte hain “Bigg Boss ke Amaal ke papa.”

The singer added, “Toh jo main chahta tha, meri jo soch thi, Ishwar ne woh tamanna poori ki. Now he is pan-India. Log usse bahut mohabbat karte hain—especially ladies, older ladies ko woh bahut pasand aaya. Youngsters ko bhi pasand aaya. Lekin log kehte hain ki ‘aapka beta real tha’—usne apne emotions dikhaye. Apne aap ko expose kiya, koi calculation nahi thi. Jo tha, waise hi dikha. Isliye usse bahut pyaar mila. Aur aaj kal jab bhi hum shows pe jaate hain, main uske har show pe jaata hoon—toh log ‘Amaal, Amaal’ chillate hain. Bada maza aata hai.”

Further opening up about the music collaboration between Amaal Malik and Farrhana Bhatt—who, for those unaware, had intense clashes inside the house—Daboo Malik shared, “Main disbelief mein tha. Maine toh ek sher likh diya tha ki “nafraton ko mohabbat mein badalte dekha hai…”. Us par controversy ho gayi thi. Aur phir aage bhi maine kuch likha tha. Uss par kaafi hungama ho gaya tha. Kyunki log keh rahe the ki jo visually ek doosre se hate karte the, woh aaj itne achhe dost kaise ban gaye? Aur itna achha unhone perform kiya. Farrhana ne itna emotional aur achha deliver kiya usmein. Amaal also acted so well. Mazaa aa gaya.”

Adding about Tanya Mittal, Daboo said, “Maine pehle bhi kaha hai. Uss se pehle bhi show ke dauraan maine kitni baar kaha ki mujhe Tanya Mittal bahut pasand hai. Woh meri personal choice hai, ab main uska kuch kar nahi sakta. Main yeh na Amaal ke point of view se bol raha hoon, na media ke point of view se. Maine jo bhi us lady ka dekha—logon ne chahe kuch bhi bola ho—lekin Tanya Mittal uss show ke dauraan special thi. Woh Bigg Boss ka ek bahut bada stambh thi, aur as a personal choice, mujhe woh bahut achhi lagti thi.”
