EXCLUSIVE: Vijayendra Kumeria Shares Excitement On Playing A Cop For The FIRST Time In Juhi Mui; Says, “It Was On My Bucket List”

For actors, a new show is usually a cocktail of excitement and nerves, especially when they are taking on a role they have never attempted before. Vijayendra Kumeria is in the same boat these days as he gears up for the launch of Juhi Mui. The actor has already caught viewers’ eyes with the show’s teaser, which has been a talking point since its release.

For Vijayendra, one of the most satisfying parts of the journey so far has been seeing the reaction from people who watched the promo. Since his previous show Jagriti – Ek Nayi Subah went off air a few months ago, many fans have been waiting to know what he would do next.

Vijayendra Kumeria On Playing A Cop For The FIRST Time In Juhi Mui

Talking about the feedback reaching him, Vijayendra Kumeria said the response has been heartening. “Fans are really excited to have me back on TV after Jagriti, which ended a few months back. Juhi Mui is a very different show from my past works, and whoever has watched the promo also has the same opinion.”

The actor revealed that his phone has been buzzing with messages ever since the teaser was unveiled. “I’ve got a lot of messages from fans and industry friends. I am very happy with the response that the promo has got. I am also glad that the channel has given us a prime time slot.”

While the audience response has given him confidence, another reason Juhi Mui holds special significance for Vijayendra is that it allows him to tick off something that had been on his wish list for a long time. The actor will be seen playing a police officer for the first time on screen. Interestingly, the offer came his way while he was still busy shooting for Jagriti. He said, “Well, even before I finished shooting for Jagriti – Ek Nayi Subah, I was approached by the makers for this role. Playing a cop was on my bucket list, and with this role, I got the opportunity.”

Vijayendra The Script Is Also Different From What I’ve Done Before

For an actor who has spent years exploring different characters, the chance to wear the police uniform was reason enough to get excited. But that was not the only factor behind his decision. According to Vijayendra, the story itself felt different from what he had done earlier. He explained, “The script is also different from what I have done before. So for me, the most exciting thing is that I am getting to portray a new kind of character in a new kind of role, and there won’t be any monotony kicking in.”

At this stage of his career, Vijayendra appears keen on choosing projects that offer something unfamiliar rather than repeating what audiences have already seen him do. And Juhi Mui gives him just that – a fresh setup, a new character and a chance to show a side of him that the viewers have not seen before. The buzz around the teaser seems to suggest that the audience is equally excited to see what the actor has in store for his new chapter.
