Talking about the injury, a source close to the making of Nagabandham told us, “While performing a major sequence, Rishabh suffered a major leg injury. But since the following day the shot was important Rishabh decided to continue shooting as it was an important sequence of the film. He pushed through a difficult period and continued filming, which speaks volumes about his dedication.”

The incident reportedly took place during a crucial phase of the shoot, yet Sawhney remained determined to fulfill his responsibilities on set. To portray the historical character Ahmad Shah Abdali convincingly, Sawhney reportedly spent months immersing himself in research. He learned Pashto to better understand the nuances of the role and read several books on the historical figure, enabling him to bring greater depth and authenticity to his performance.
