Nikita Dutta On Emraan Hashmi
In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Nikita Dutta shares an anecdote about Emraan Hashmi and recalls her first encounter with the actor. She says, “I had this little fascination about what Emraan Hashmi would be like on set. I’ll tell you something funny—usually, when you’re about to work on a film, there’s some kind of workshop or interaction before you actually start shooting. But in my case, my first interaction with Imran was on a flight to Mauritius, where we were headed to shoot the film.”
She continued,“Throughout the entire flight, we didn’t even speak to each other. We landed, exchanged a polite hello, and that was it—cut to, we’re suddenly on set together, doing a scene. That was literally our first proper interaction.”
She added,“I hadn’t spoken to him before, had no idea what he was like as a person, and then I discovered that he’s the complete opposite of his screen image. He’s very reserved, stays to himself, and minds his own business. He doesn’t interfere, keeps things very cut-to-cut—very straightforward and minimal.”
She concluded,“That came as a bit of a surprise to me because, you know, we all carry a certain image of actors based on their films. So, this quiet, introspective version of him was quite different from what I had expected. And here’s the funny part—the film I did with him didn’t have a single song. No music, no signature Emraan Hashmi romantic scenes. It was totally off-brand from what most people associate with him.”
