EXCLUSIVE: Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma Argued Over Darshan Kumaar? Mary Kom, NH10 Co-Star Recalls, “Maine Suna Bhi Tha Ki Anushka…”

Darshan Kumaar has worked with Priyanka Chopra in Mary Kom as her husband’s character and with Anushka Sharma in NH10 as the villain. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Darshan recalled how he and Anushka filmed the hair-dragging scene in NH10. He revealed that both actresses fought over him. Darshan Recalls Fighting Sequence With Anushka In NH10

When asked about filming the hair-dragging scenes with Anushka Sharma in NH10 and where he was sceptical of being too rough, given she’s also the film’s producer, Darshan Kumaar recalled an interesting story. He shared, “Aap maanoge nahi… Mujhe yaad hai mujhe unko kamre se kheench ke lana tha baalon se aur jaake bahar phenkna hai. Toh main Anushka ko pehli baar wahan se andar se laya aur… Ek technique hoti hai action ki, jo maine jab main naya aaya tha toh seekhi thi. Kyunki zaroori hai apne craft ke liye. Usmein ek hold karne ka tareeka hota hai — aap poora nahi karte, sirf woh energy haath mein dikhani hoti hai, you know. Toh lagta hai ki full force se pakda hai. Toh main unko leke aaya aur maine unhe pheka.”

He continued, “Aur woh itni kamaal ki actress hain, itni mehnati hain. Unhone kaha, ‘Darshan, achhe se pakad aur achhe se kheench.’ Main bola, ‘Baal kheenchu really mein?’ Toh boli, ‘Haan, kyunki mujhe woh force chahiye, apne expressions ke liye.’ Phir second time maine unko proper grip ke saath pakda. Unko thoda pain bhi hua, lekin woh taas se maas nahi hui, hilli nahi. Aur woh scene screen par bahut kamaal ka aaya — jab main unko phekta hoon ya unko punch marta hoon. So ya, yeh real mein hua tha.”

Darshan Kumaar Reveals Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma Fighting Over Him

Darshan Kumaar revealed that Mary Kom’s Priyanka Chopra and NH10’s Anushka Sharma both fought over him. The actor said, “Kamaal ki baat yeh hai ki Anushka aur Priyanka Chopra uske baad Dil Dhadakne Do pe mile. Wahan hamari film ka zikr hua. Priyanka ne kaha, ‘Darshan toh bahut sweet hai, bahut hi mehnati hai, achha actor hai.’ Toh Anushka ne bola, ‘Maine usse zyada khadoos aadmi aaj tak dekha hi nahi.’ Un dono mein mere ko leke thodi behas ho gayi. Anushka bol rahi thi, ‘Khadoos hai,’ Priyanka keh rahi thi, ‘Sweet hai.’ Kyunki main dono ke saath alag character mein tha. Jab main Anushka ke saath tha toh main Satbir bana hua tha.”

He continued, “Main Anushka se na hi hi karta tha, na hello. Aur agar aapne film dekhi ho, climax ke baad hi main bolta hoon, ‘Hi, I’m Darshan Kumar.’ Tab tak woh mere liye sirf Satbir hi the. Yeh process ka part tha ki jaan-boojh kar Anushka se baat nahi karni hai. Lekin unko idea nahi tha, unhe laga main rude hoon, ya attitude dikhata hoon. Shayad unhone aisa socha. Maine suna bhi tha ki Anushka mazaak mein bol rahi thi climax ke baad, ‘Isko main achhe se rod se maarungi.’ Phir hum Delhi mein promotions ke dauran mile. Toh woh boli, ‘Tum toh bahut hi sweet ho, bahut acche insaan ho.’ Main bola, ‘Haan, sorry, main character mein tha uss waqt.’ Aur phir hum acche friends ban gaye. Aur Priyanka ne mujhe khudh yeh sab bataya hai.”
