ZEE5’s critically acclaimed noir thriller Kennedy released last week and has captivated audiences with its haunting storytelling, atmospheric visuals, and deeply introspective performances. At the heart of the immersive cinematic experience is Rahul Bhat who has delivered a restrained yet powerful portrayal, something may are considering as the most compelling performances of his career.
For Rahul Bhat, Kennedy is more than just another collaboration – it marks his third project with Anurag Kashyap, a filmmaker he credits with profoundly shaping his artistic journey. During an exclusive interaction, Rahul spoke to Bollywood Bubble about their shared understanding of cinema, their synergy and more. Read on to know all he said.
Rahul Bhat Reuniting With Anurag Kashyap For Kennedy, Their Synergy
Reflecting on their creative partnership, Rahul shares, “I seriously believe that Anurag is not the kind of director who wants to be impressed by an actor, he doesn’t do it for laurels or for that ‘wow’ factor. When he feels something is really going the right way, he just gets up and starts dancing a little and says, ‘Oh my God,’ and that’s when you know it’s going well.”
Talking about reuniting with him for the third time, the ‘Kennedy’ actor continued, “This is my third film with him, and now I can look into his eyes and know exactly what he’s thinking – whether it’s good, the best, okayish, or not okay. I think we have developed that bond over time because doing three films together is long, and we’ve spent a lot of time collaborating.”
Rahul Bhat added, “I can clearly say that he has shaped my career and me as an actor because I am deeply influenced by his thoughts, his take on cinema, and what he considers good acting. I feel very lucky that he keeps calling me back and believes that I can pull off such interesting, complex, and mad roles.”
