Commenting on how the show sticks to its theme, Ranvir said, “Crime and politics has been explored a lot in our medium via long and short format shows. But what makes our show unique is that Kanneda explores the connection of crime and politics from an immigration perspective and that makes it very fresh and exciting along with a new kind of exploration.”

Adding to the challenging experience, he shared, “My character in the story is somebody who is older in the immigration game and has been there for a while. He knows the ropes, ins and outs of not just immigration but also how to hack into the system of the new place where he is immigrated. I think my character provides more of a backdrop for the socio-political backdrop of immigrants in the story, it’s a great part and a great arc.”

Ranvir Shorey embodies Bajwa, navigating the turbulent landscape of immigration in Kanneda, allowing viewers to witness the raw and complex realities of Punjabi immigrants establishing their lives overseas.
