EXCLUSIVE: ‘Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan together will be a mayhem,’ says Vaibhavi Merchant on the possibility of Tiger Vs Pathaan

Choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant has had a tremendous 2023 thus far. She started the year with Shah Rukh Khan in Pathaan and has ended it with Salman Khan in Tiger 3. The choreographer made SRK dance in Besharam Rang and Salman in Leke Prabhu Ka Naam. The audience went gaga over Salman and SRK coming together for Pathaan and Tiger 3. With Tiger Vs Pathaan being the next reported project in the YRF spy universe, Vaibhavi discussed the possibility of her making the two superstars dance together.

Vaibhavi Merchant on the difference between Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan

Both SRK and Salman have different styles, and Vaibhavi got to experience them both. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble, the choreographer shared what makes them different. She said, “They are two different individuals, but the one commonality between both of them is they are all hearts. They think, speak, work from the heart. In case of Shah Rukh, he has a very student like quality. He would respect the teacher who is expecting him to be rehearsed. So, even though he doesn’t need the rehearsals, he will still do it, so that the teacher is happy. Salman, he doesn’t care. He knows that irrespective, the teacher is going to love him anyways. So, he is the teacher’s pet.”

Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan coming together in Tiger Vs Pathaan

Vaibhavi has been associated with the spy universe since Ek Tha Tiger. She did Mashallah in the film and then went on to do Swag Se Swagat for Tiger Zinda Hai. She choreographed Pathaan’s Besharam Rang as well. So, when asked about the possibility of her bringing both SRK and Salman together for Tiger Vs Pathaan, she got energetic.

The choreographer shared, “I would love to combine these two energies not only in the spy universe but even at my house, if I ever have to sit and party with them, or go to their parties and enjoy. I don’t know what that’s going to be. It’s going to be mayhem. It’s going to be like a colossal burst of energy and excitement.”

She added, “I just want to be a fly on the wall on that set, if that ever comes. Because I want to enjoy them as people and their madness. Actually, I used to be that fly on the wall during Karan Arjun. I had the prvilege of being on the same set with them while they were shooting a song called Jai Maa Kaali for Karan Arjun back in the days. I remember that and I would like to relive that. It will be like cut to 30 years later.”

Tiger 3 featuring Salman and Katrina Kaif released this Diwali on November 12, 2023. It also had SRK’s Pathaan make a cameo appearance in the film. At Bollywood Bubble, we gave 4 stars out of 5 to Tiger 3. A part of the review read, “Tiger 3 lives up to the hype and expectations and maybe more. The tiger has truly roared.”
