EXCLUSIVE: Shanaya Kapoor Reveals Experience Shooting Tu Yaa Main’s Desi Rap Track ‘Fame Us’; Shares, “We Were Told To Let Loose, Have Fun And…”

After impressing the audience with her performance in Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, upcoming star Shanaya Kapoor is all set to win more hearts with Bejoy Nambiar’s upcoming romantic survival thriller, Tu Yaa Main. With the film set to release in less than a month, the makers unveiled the film’s first song – ‘Fame Us’ today. A gully-rap track by hip-hop collective 7 Bantai’Z, the song introduces her in an unapologetically raw, street-forward avatar, firmly rooted in desi rap culture.

Sharing the frame with Adarsh Gourav, ‘the song ‘Fame Us’ taps into a street-driven mood that mirrors the intense world of Tu Yaa Main. In one of the standout sequences, both Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh are seen dressed in sharp suits, letting loose on gully rap beats — a contrast that adds texture and edge to the visuals. Their chemistry feels instinctive rather than staged, grounding the track in attitude over spectacle.

Speaking about the track, Shanaya shared, “The choreography in ‘Fame Us’ was very freestyle. We were just told to let loose, have fun, and move with the beat instead of following fixed steps. It was really about feeling the music and the vibe, which honestly made it so much fun, and working with 7 Bantai’Z just added to that energy. It made the whole experience feel easy and organic.”
